Pagerwesi day is celebrated four days after Saraswati day. Pagerwesi is derived from the words: Pager (fence) & wesi (iron) or The day of “iron fence”. Pagerwesi day is dedicated to honor Siva, the God manifestation as the guardian of the universe, which is meant to ask for protection and prosperity.

This day is also a part of Saraswati day, devoted to the Goddess of knowledge and education. People also consider it as the birth of knowledge.Pagerwesi day commemorates the day upon upon which an ancient battle between good and evil fought. It is the day to show respect to teachers and the main Guru (God or Siva). Another correlation between Saraswati and Pagerwesi is that the knowledge must be protected from bad influences and misuse.

On this day, Balinese make and present special offerings as a sign of gratitude. Other offerings are also presented to the holy spirit of each family’s ancestor. A ceremony and prayers are held at respective family temple. All members of the family also make a visit to the graveyards of their deceased family members that have not been cremated. Observances are usually held at every house compound and temples.

Colorful, toxic free puzzles and toys are created manually at their onsite workshop and they are suitable for infants up to around 6 years of age. Some puzzles can be a little tricky considering the shape and colour patterns.

We have been selling their puzzles at our reception area, the puzzles are beautiful and are the perfect souvenir to bring back home.
