Now well into its second decade, the Sanur Festival grew out of a community effort to bring life back to the neighbourhood, and that homely, neighbourly spirit still shapes the event today. Rather than ticketed stages and roped-off areas, the festival spills naturally across the beachfront promenade, with stalls selling Balinese specialities alongside international street food, craft displays from local artisans, and performances that range from traditional Balinese dance to contemporary music.
