The 14th Sanur Village Festival

The Sanur Village Festival has become one of the most anticipated festivals in Bali. Not only the festival exposes Sanur as a tourist destination in Bali but it also showcases Balinese culture at the same time attracting visitors from various countries. In previous years it has have been a great success, we can’t wait for this year’s festival! 

In its 14th year, Sanur Village Festival will feature the theme Dharmaning Gesing – the glorifying of bamboo, which showcases the daily role bamboo plays in the Balinese community. It is used in religious ceremonies and an important element in building architecture, so the festival explores bamboo as part of Sanur community’s spirit of creativity. The awareness of its existence is hoped to encourage togetherness and sense of family, respect and protecting the environment and inspire the community creativity..

The festival will be held from August the 21 – 25, 2019 at Matahari Terbit beach, Sanur, just minutes away from Prime Plaza Suites Sanur - Bali. The Festival will showcase an array of events and activities such as paintings exhibitions, clean up the beach campaign, coral planting, food bazaar, live music, culture shows, cycling tours are just a few to mention. So save the dates and don’t miss one of the biggest cultural festivals in Bali!

Yayasan Solemen Indonesia (‘Solemen’), an Indonesian non - profit foundation, provides direct support and funding for the disadvantaged in Bali. Established in October 2010, Solemen is one of Bali’s most trusted and visible charities. The Governor of Bali is Solemen’s ‘Pelindung’ (Guardian/Patron) and the charity is endorsed by the Bali Government Tourism Office and the Bali Hotels Association.

We’ve been supporting Solemen by selling teddy bears at our reception at cost price, the sale of the teddy bears is fully donated to the foundation. We are very fortunate to  be able to support Solesmen who in return are helping the less fortunate. You too can support Solemen by purchasing the teddy bears that are available at our reception desk. Your contribution means a lot to them.
