Charity Arts Exhibition 2017 At Prime Plaza Hotel & Suites Sanur – Bali

Prime Plaza Hotel & Suites Sanur – Bali, (formerly Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel & Suites) has been supporting the Yayasan Bunga Bali over the years and in conjunction with Sanggar Dewata Indonesia - Bali hosted a charity arts exhibition from December 26^th – 28^th , 2017 at the Griya Agung Ballroom at the Prime Plaza Hotel Sanur – Bali.

The aim of the program was to help the evacuees that have been displaced because of Mt. Agung. A full 3-day charity program was filled with art exhibitions, performances, art education programs, art competitions and fund raising events. The sales result from the exhibition was donated to the evacuees with a hope to lighten their burden and ease the situation so that they can recover faster.

Taking “Arts for Humanity” as a theme, the event was attended by hundreds of art lovers, curators, senior artists, talented young performers and artists. Prime Plaza Hotel & Suites Sanur – Bali is very proud to support such an inspiring event to help those in need.

Cultural Event: Tumpek Wayang.

Tumpek Wayang is a special day dedicated towards traditional performing arts in Bali particularly Balinese traditional puppetry, known as “Wayang”. Tumpek Wayang is one part in a series of Tumpek days for blessing different subjects. Various offerings are made to the range of character puppets involved in this theatrical art.  

On this day all, all the puppeteers and those who have puppets in Bali will give a special ceremony to their puppets. In addition, many people choose Tumpek Wayang as an auspicious day to perform purification both physically and mentally.

In February 2018, the Tumpek Wayang will fall on the 24^th. If you are in Bali, don’t miss this unique tradition that you might not find anywhere else.

The Devdan story begins when two young children who are parts of a tourist group in Bali feel bored with the tour itinerary and set themselves apart from the group to climb toward a cliff that has grabbed their attention. They find a treasure chest containing various unique items that will bring them, and the audience in a journey to witness the treasures of Indonesia.

We came as an extended family for a birthday celebration and stayed 9 days. Everything was beyond our expectations. The staff deserve every commendation- every single employee was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. The suites are generously sized and the kids club/camp splash was enjoyed by the three kids in our group. We did not want to leave and will definitely be back. This is fantastic for families.

We just got home from a great week holiday staying here, the staff are all so friendly, helpful and have become friends! Our 2 bedroom suite was huge, the food was lovely and happy hour is amazing! Can't fault this place! Our kids never complained (15 & 6) it was great.
